So whether you hunt or not, the properties that are listed see native and exotic game that frequent the property. Many folks prefer not to hunt, and enjoy the wildlife. Much of the exotic game is free ranging in this area of Texas. There isn’t a designated season for exotic game, so they can be hunted year round, but a license is still required. Some notable animals that can be found in this area are: whitetail deer, axis deer, black buck antelope, fallow deer, sitka deer, aoudad sheep, red stag, wild boar, javelinas, wild turkey and dove. There are many other species of wildlife in the area that are not considered game animals. This part of the Texas Hill Country is like living on a gigantic game preserve.
